Chef's Knives

Tried and true there are few tasks that a chef knife can't handle. We think of the chef knife as the work horse of the kitchen; a well-trusted tool that can be used for just about anything. If your culinary arsenal is limited to one knife we strongly suggest that it be a chef knife. If you prefer a flatter-bellied blade with less camber we suggest you consider a Gyuto, the traditionally Japanese chef's knife variant.
