Pride Abrasive Professional 3000 Grit Waterstone - 5 Micron Synthetic Abrasive
The Precision Bridge: Transform Your Edge from Functional to Surgical True culinary mastery requires an edge that does more than just cut—it must glide. The Pride Abrasive 3000 Grit Waterstone (SKU: WW3000) is specifically designed as the 'sweet spot' in any professional sharpening progression. While a 1000-grit stone sets the geometry, and a 6000-grit stone provides the mirror polish, the 3000-grit stone is where the real magic of bite and smoothness is balanced. Manufactured with pride in the USA, this grey synthetic stone utilizes a proprietary bonding process that ensures the 5-micron abrasive particles remain consistent throughout the life of the stone. Unlike cheaper imports that suffer from grit contamination or uneven wear, Pride Abrasives offers a 'splash and go' experience that saves time in high-volume kitchens. For knives that are starting to lose their 'toothy' aggression but haven't yet become dull, this stone serves as the ultimate touch-up tool. It removes just enough material to realign the apex while preparing the surface for the final refinement stages. Whether you are a professional chef maintaining a laser-thin Japanese gyuto or a home enthusiast perfecting a German chef's knife, this stone provides the tactile feedback necessary to achieve a world-class edge. RH Preyda 3000 Grit Natural Waterstone
The Pinnacle of Natural Sharpening Performance In a world of synthetic abrasives, the RH Preyda 3000 Grit Natural Arkansas Waterstone stands as a testament to the superior power of nature. Mined from high-quality Novaculite deposits in the United States, this stone offers a unique crystalline structure that synthetic alternatives simply cannot replicate. For professional chefs and home enthusiasts alike, the search for the perfect edge usually involves a complex progression of stones. However, the unique density of this 3000-grit Novaculite allows it to perform the work of multiple stones, bridging the gap between medium refining and fine polishing. Why Chef David Selects This Stone Above All Others When precision is non-negotiable, the tool matters. If we had to choose only one stone to sharpen every knife in our store it would be the RH Preyda 3000 grit. This is Chef Davids top choice for single stone sharpening. Its secret lies in the 'abrasive-hardness' balance. Unlike synthetic stones that wear down quickly and require frequent flattening, the natural Novaculite is incredibly durable, providing a quicker dull-to-sharp process while maintaining its surface integrity for years of service. Whether you are working with high-carbon Japanese steel or rugged German stainless, this stone adapts to the steel's needs. It provides enough 'bite' to remove micro-dullness while simultaneously burnishing the edge to a mirror-like finish that glides through proteins and vegetables with zero resistance. Accompanied by a custom-fit silicone non-slip base, it ensures your sharpening process is as safe as it is effective. Learn More$84.00 -

Pride Abrasive 220/1000 Grit Combination Stone
Pride Abrasive 220/1000 Grit Combination Stone. This stone is intended for the serious sharpener. The high abrasive in the 220 grit will make very short work of dull or damaged knives (be careful not to oversharpen on the 220). The 1,000 can be used to smooth and refine the work of the 220 and to set a beveled edge. The finished edge on the 1,000 may be suitable for vegetable cutting but generally the sharpener should finish on a higher stone than the 1,000. Learn More$42.95 -

It is fine enough to leave a decent cutting edge that will be a bit toothy with a more saw-like cutting action, but coarse enough to be used on knives that have only just begun to lose cutting ability. It is also popular as a middle grit to continue the refining process before proceeding to finer grits for a more razor like edge. Learn More$62.75
