Wusthof Classic Ikon 6 pc Starter Set with Acacia Block

The Essential Three, With the Classic Ikon Handle

The Wüsthof Classic Ikon 6-Piece Starter Set is for cooks who want a small, complete set built on the Classic Ikon design. It includes a chef’s knife, bread knife, and paring knife, with a honing steel, shears, and a block that leaves room to add more knives. Where the Classic 6-Piece Starter Set includes a serrated utility knife, this set includes a full-length bread knife.

Why It Works

• Half bolster: The bolster stops short of the edge, so the full length of the blade can be sharpened, heel included.

• Rear bolster: A steel end cap at the back of the handle balances the weight of the blade for precise control.

• Contoured handle: The curved Classic Ikon handle settles into the palm for a firm, comfortable grip in either a handle grip or a pinch grip.

• Forged from a single piece of steel: Blade and tang are one continuous piece, for strength and durability.

• PEtec edge: Wüsthof’s laser-guided Precision Edge Technology sets a uniform edge from heel to tip.

In the Kitchen

The chef’s knife handles chopping, slicing, and mincing on the board. The bread knife cuts crusted loaves, bagels, and layer cakes without compressing them, and also slices tomatoes cleanly. The paring knife covers peeling, coring, and trimming. Open slots in the block accommodate a santoku, utility knife, or carving knife as your collection grows.
