Magimix 14-Cup 4200XL Food Processor, Black

The Magimix 4200XL is a food processor for cooks who prep in stages and in quantity, from a Sunday batch of sliced vegetables to a holiday menu of dough, soup, and whipped cream.

Magimix builds it in Burgundy, France, where the company has made food processors since 1971. One motor base runs three nested bowls and a complete set of blades, discs, and tools, so a single machine chops, slices, grates, kneads, blends, emulsifies, and whips. The black finish suits a darker kitchen or one with professional stainless and black appliances.

Features

• Quiet induction motor. The 950-watt motor adjusts its power to what is in the bowl, holding speed through a stiff bread dough as well as a thin puree. It carries the Quiet Mark award for low operating noise and a 30-year guarantee from Magimix.


• Three nested bowls. The mini and midi bowls fit inside the main bowl, so you can mince herbs, slice cucumbers, and knead dough in one session without stopping to wash. The bowls store together.


• Sabatier knife blade and discs. Sabatier makes the stainless steel knife blade and the slicing and grating discs in France. The serrated knife blade does not require sharpening.


• Dough blade. A dedicated blade kneads bread, brioche, pasta, and pastry doughs, so the knife blade is reserved for chopping and blending.


• BlenderMix ring. Set in the lid, the ring returns ingredients toward the blade for smoother soups, smoothies, and batters.


• Extra-large feed tube with triple pusher. Whole vegetables and blocks of cheese go in with little pre-cutting, and the nested pushers adjust the opening for small items and for adding oil to emulsions.

What It Handles

Use the 4200XL to knead pizza and sandwich bread dough, grind beef for burgers, slice potatoes for gratin, shred cheese, whip egg whites, and emulsify aioli and mayonnaise. Optional attachments include the Magimix Dice & French Fry Kit, the Magimix Juice Extractor Attachment, and the Magimix Citrus Juicer Attachment.
