Suncraft Senzo Black Damascus

Suncraft Senzo Black Knives are built for beauty, comfort and performance.  Designed with the future user in mind, these knives are immaculately crafted - from the tip of the blade to the end of the handle, no detail has been overlooked. Constructed in the classic Japanese wa-bocho style, Senzo Black blades have a half-tang that runs through a black pakkawood ferrule and into a brown pakkawood handle. The ferrule and handle are separated by a white carbon fiber ring that creates a striking visual transition. The ferrule is fully sealed for hygiene and to prevent corrosion. Suncraft Senzo Black Damascus blades have a core of cobalt VG10 steel: that is hardened to a rockwell hardness of 61°. This is a fine-grained alloy with a high carbon content – it is abrasion resistant, and it sharpens quickly. 32 Layers of Black Damascus stainless steel cladding surround the core. The cladding creates a striking and elegant appearance.  These blades are ground to an even 50/50 bevel that is equally suited to right- or left-handed users. The handles, which gradually taper from the end (where they are thickest) to the blade, are also shaped to fit either the right or left hand.
