Usually when making crinkle cuts on items like potatoes, carrots and pickles this is done with a special mandolin attachment which is hard to find and use. The Friedrich Dick Decorating knife makes this once painstaking task quite easy, this tool is a great way to make your meals look much more professional. This is a fully forged blade the Rockwell on this blade is higher than other Premier Plus blades so that it holds its wavy shape around 58 to 59. Be delicate with the edge as the nature of the blades design makes this product very hard to resharpen, however as it should only be going through soft vegetables and fruit the edge would take a very long time to dull.
