Ateco 10-inch Straight Icing Spatula with Wood Handle

Ten inches of blade is the point at which a straight spatula starts to double as a cake lifter. This one is long and wide enough to slide under a 10-inch layer and move it to a cake board, and it spans the top of a 12-inch round when smoothing buttercream.

Ateco grinds the 1.5-inch 420 stainless blade to a taper so it flexes toward the tip.

For a dishwasher-safe handle, see the plastic-handled Ateco 1310. For full-sheet cakes, the 14-inch with wood handle reaches further.
