Details
Crystolon stones utilize silicone carbide as the abrasive medium. In the past these were commonly known as carborundum stones. As opposed to Aluminum Oxide (India Stones), Silicone Carbide is a harder, sharper abrasive medium that fractures into smaller, smoother particles more quickly. We find a strong preference for Crystolon stones from our poultry processors as they favor the more rapid cutting action that these deliver.
