Tips for Best Results
- Hold the edge against the rod at the same angle as the factory bevel, about 15 degrees per side on MAC double-bevel knives.
- Use light pressure and alternate sides, with the same number of strokes on each side.
- Ceramic removes a little metal; when the rod no longer restores the edge, the knife needs sharpening.
Care
- Ceramic is hard but brittle. Do not drop the rod or knock it against a counter.
- Clean the steel residue from the rod with a damp cloth and a mild abrasive cleanser, then let it dry.
