Details
A full-size 7" ceramic chef’s knife designed for general prep, slicing, and efficient day-to-day use.
The Kyocera Innovation 7" Chef’s Knife is the primary working knife in the ceramic lineup. It provides the length and versatility needed for most prep tasks while maintaining a lightweight, easy-to-control feel.
The blade is made from zirconia ceramic. It holds its edge significantly longer than steel and maintains that performance through extended use. Because it is non-reactive, it will not affect flavor or cause browning when working with ingredients like citrus, apples, herbs, or vegetables.
This knife moves through food cleanly with minimal resistance. It produces smooth, consistent cuts and requires less force than a comparable steel blade.
The 7" length offers more reach than smaller santoku or utility knives, making it better suited for larger ingredients and full prep tasks. At the same time, it remains lighter and more manageable than a traditional steel chef’s knife.
Compared to smaller blades, it provides greater versatility. Compared to heavier steel knives, it reduces fatigue during extended prep sessions.
Ceramic holds its edge well but does not flex. Avoid hard materials such as bones or frozen foods, and do not twist the blade during use.
This knife is best suited for vegetables, fruits, herbs, and boneless proteins. It is not intended for heavy-duty cutting.
The angled handle supports a natural grip and helps keep your hand clear of the cutting surface. The lightweight construction promotes steady, controlled cutting.
The blade will not rust or corrode. When sharpening is required, it should be done with a diamond system or professional service.
