Kyocera Ceramic Wheel Knife Sharpener for Steel Knives (RSN-20 BK)

This sharpener is for steel knives. Its wheels are advanced ceramic, a material Kyocera describes as close to diamond in hardness, and they sharpen both faces of a double-beveled steel blade in a few quick passes. Kyocera built it for quick sharpening of everyday kitchen knives.

Rubber feet hold it in place on the counter, and the ergonomic body gives the other hand a secure grip. A clear cover over the wheels opens so the filings can be dumped and rinsed out.

Customers ask us how to sharpen their Kyocera ceramic knives, and the answer is not this tool. A ceramic wheel cannot sharpen a ceramic blade. For Kyocera ceramic knives, use the Kyocera Diamond Wheel Knife Sharpener, or send the knife to EVERSHARP, Kyocera’s authorized service provider, through Kyocera’s sharpening service page. This sharpener is also not recommended for single-bevel or serrated knives.

Matching the Sharpener to the Knife

A kitchen with only steel knives can use this model. Once a ceramic knife joins the drawer, the diamond model handles both materials.
