Made In French Olive Wood Knives

Made In’s French Olive Wood knives are fully forged in Thiers, France, each from a single rod of X50CrMoV15 Nitro+ stainless steel, and fitted with olive wood handles. The tough European steel holds a durable 18-degree edge that stands up to everyday prep and is easy to maintain with a honing rod.

Choosing a knife

  • Chef knife: The everyday blade for chopping, rock cutting, and slicing.
  • Paring knife: Peeling, trimming, and detail work.
  • Bread knife: A serrated blade for crusty loaves, cakes, and tomatoes.
  • Steak knives: Straight-edged knives for the table, in sets of four or eight.

Caring for olive wood: Hand wash and dry each knife right away, and oil the handles now and then with food-safe mineral oil.

For thinner Japanese blades with a 15-degree edge, see Made In Japanese Damascus Steel Knives. Compare both lines on the Made In Knives page.
