The F. Dick FineCut 12 in. Round Fine Cut Steel with Blue Handle is the ideal rod for re-aligning edges that have rolled over through heavy use. When your knife's edge makes repeated contact with a cutting surface the sharp beveled edge will be push to one side or the other. About eight strokes on both side of your knife with this steel should be enough to hone the edge back to razor sharp. This steel is made with the latest state of the art German hardening processes to ensure lines are even and the right depth and will not wear quickly with use.
