Norpro Vegetable Steamer

These are excellent steamer inserts that have existed for many years. Made entirely of stainless steel, they are both lightweight and sturdy. Simply place it at the bottom of any brand saucepan or Dutch oven with about an inch of water to create a quick, dishwasher-safe steaming solution. It features a detachable center post with a ring for easy removal from the pan. Usually, we keep that post in place and arrange vegetables around it, but it can be taken out if you are preparing larger items like a filet of fish. Can also be used as a colander for cleaning vegetables and berries.
