Shun Premier Knives
The Shun Premier Knife Collection features a striking hand-hammered appearance (Tsuchime) that is a great melding of form and function. The mottled surface provides air pockets to reduce drag when cutting and helps to keep starchy foods from sticking to the blade. The signature Shun emblem is emblazoned on the blade and on the end of the handle. The handle is a dark, walnut PakkaWood; A resin impregnated wood that is impervious to water and will not shrink. Each Shun Premier knife has a VG10 core, with 16 layers of Damascus on each side, for a total of 33 layers. The edges are razor sharp and very thin, as you would expect from Shun. Shun Premier 6-inch Chef's Knife
The Shun Premier 6-inch Chef's Knife offers the classic versatility of a chef's knife in a more compact and agile size. An essential for any kitchen, this all-purpose blade is designed to handle a wide variety of cutting tasks, from slicing and dicing to chopping and mincing. Its smaller size makes it exceptionally nimble and easy to control, perfect for those with smaller hands or for when a larger 8- or 10-inch chef's knife feels unwieldy.
