Shun Premier Knives

The Shun Premier Knife Collection features a striking hand-hammered appearance (Tsuchime) that is a great melding of form and function. The mottled surface provides air pockets to reduce drag when cutting and helps to keep starchy foods from sticking to the blade. The signature Shun emblem is emblazoned on the blade and on the end of the handle. The handle is a dark, walnut PakkaWood; A resin impregnated wood that is impervious to water and will not shrink. Each Shun Premier knife has a VG10 core, with 16 layers of Damascus on each side, for a total of 33 layers. The edges are razor sharp and very thin, as you would expect from Shun. Lifetime guaranteed.

Turn every roast into a stunning centerpiece with the Shun Premier 2-piece Carving Set. This exquisite set combines a razor-sharp carving knife with a matching carving fork to give you complete control and precision, allowing you to slice and serve everything from a Thanksgiving turkey to a prime rib with grace and ease. The carving knife features an ultra-sharp, thin blade that glides through meat, producing clean, paper-thin slices without tearing or shredding. The elegant carving fork holds the roast securely in place while you cut and is the perfect tool for serving. High-Performance Japanese Steel: The blade features a cutting core of proprietary VG-MAX "super steel," which is incredibly hard and fine-grained to take and hold a razor-sharp edge. Stunning Damascus Blade: The core is protected by 68 layers of Damascus cladding, which supports the core and provides stain resistance. Reduces Drag and Sticking: The beautiful hand-hammered finish (known as tsuchime) creates tiny air pockets that reduce drag, allowing the blade to glide through food with less friction. Exceptional Comfort and Control: The contoured, walnut-colored PakkaWood® handle rests comfortably in the hand, offering a secure grip for confident slicing. Artistry in Motion: More than just a tool, this set is a statement piece, reflecting the beauty and tradition of Japanese knifemaking. Learn More
