Messermeister Oliva Elite

Comfortable to hold and beautiful to behold, Messermeister Oliva Elite Knives are heirloom quality knives made to last for generations. Made with buttery smooth natural Mediterranean Olive Wood Handles and hot-drop forged German steel blades, Oliva Elite Knives are carefully crafted with an attention to detail. The shoulders of the spines are rounded smooth to prevent discomfort during cutting. The blades faces are mirror polished for aesthetics and to reduce friction when cutting. The natural wood handles are sanded to perfection – they feel warm in the hand and are easy to grip even with wet or slippery hands. German 1.4116 steel blades are heat-treated and cooled to a -Rockwell Hardness of 57-58°, which is soft enough to prevent chipping and allow for easy re-sharpening with a honing steel. Blades are ground evenly with a bevel set to 15° per side. The edges are finished on a cloth wheel where each blade is polished by hand. This creates an extremely sharp and durable edge. Messermeister knives are 100% made in Solingen, Germany – the city of knives. Messermeister’s Oliva Elite collection is classically crafted for performance and style. You can’t go wrong with an Oliva Elite knife.
