The Professional’s Blueprint: Forged Performance Meets Unrivaled Comfort For the serious home cook and the professional chef alike, the Mercer Genesis 6-Piece Block Set (M20050) represents the 'Gold Standard' of culinary value. Unlike stamped cutlery that loses its edge and balance, each knife in the Genesis series is fully forged from a single piece of high-carbon, no-stain German X50 Cr Mo V15 steel. This results in a blade that offers superior edge retention, stain resistance, and a perfectly balanced bolster that reduces wrist fatigue during long prep sessions. The standout feature of the Genesis line is the patented Santoprene® handle. Designed to remain slip-resistant even when your hands are wet or greasy, these handles provide a soft, ergonomic grip that absorbs the vibrations of heavy chopping. Whether you are breaking down a chicken with the 6-inch boning knife or precision-dicing aromatics with the 8-inch chef knife, the Genesis series ensures total control. Completing the set is the striking Wood and Tempered Glass Block. This isn't just a storage solution; it is a statement of kitchen hygiene and style. The transparent glass allows you to see every blade clearly, eliminating the 'guessing game' of traditional wooden blocks while providing a modern, open aesthetic that fits any high-end kitchen decor. This set provides the essential toolkit required to execute 99% of kitchen tasks with professional-grade accuracy. Learn More
