Idahone 10 in Ceramic Rod with Light Wood Handle

Unlike a honing steel that only realigns an edge, Idahone’s ceramic rod removes metal to sharpen and polish. It is ideal for harder steels that tend to wear down rather than roll.


Knife Merchant Tip:  A ceramic rod will eventually clog with metal buildup which greatly decreases the abrasiveness. When you see a significant build-up of grey streaks, the rod can be cleaned with an Idahone Ceramic Eraser or scrubbed with Bar Keepers Friend.
