Rectangles suit pastry that will be served in neat portions: mille-feuille strips, filled hand pies, shortbread fingers and layered bars. These three stainless cutters run from 1.5 to 4.5 inches long.

At 2 inches tall, they also work as plating forms for layered salads or desserts. Because they nest, two can be used together to cut a rectangular frame from a sheet of dough.
